Agates Shut-Out Hibbing

The Two Harbors Agates jumped out to a 35 point halftime lead as the Agates cruised to a 48-0 victory over the Hibbing Bluejackets Thursday night in Two Harbors.
Calvin Luhrsen scored three touchdowns including two receiving as the Agates start the 2014 season 1-0 overall. Luhrsen scored all three of his touchdowns in the first quarter which gave the Agates a 21-0 lead after one quarter of action.
Kyler Kinn and Tim Bott added Touchdown runs in the second quarter and it was a Agate lead of 35-0 at halftime.
Ricky Hietala scored on a 23 yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Logan Loiselle caught a fourth quarter touchdown pass as the Agates earned the home shutout.
Two Harbors opens 1-0 and they will face Eveleth-Gilbert next Friday night in Eveleth, the Bluejackets will try to rebound next week as they host Crosby-Ironton at home.
