Kole Zuidmulder rushed for four touchdowns Thursday night including the game winner with 6:51 remaining in the fourth quarter as the Hawks bested the Rebels 25-24 and ended the Rebels 62 game regular season winning streak at Cory Veech Field in Hermantown.

Zuidmulder scored on touchdown runs of 1 yard, 1 yard, 8 yards, and the last one another 1 yard touchdown run as Hermantown picked up the one point win avenging a loss a season ago to the Rebels in Willow River.

There were six lead changes Thursday night as football fans were treated to one of the best games in recent memory in the local area. In a very balance contest both teams finished with 14 first downs and had a total offensive output of 269 yards for the Hawks and the Rebels finished with 348 yards of offense.

This back and forth battle saw the Rebels Josh Petterson score  on a 64 yard touchdown pass from Brad Fossum, Milan Dragiczcevich scored on a 8 yard touchdown run, and Bryceton Butkiewicz also scoring on a 8 yard touchdown run.

The Rebels will look to rebound next Friday when they will host Esko at home, and the Hawks will look to retain the Hammer for the third straight season as they face Proctor.
