Floodwood Wins fourth Straight

The Floodwood Polar Bears won their fourth straight game Tuesday as the Polar Bears defeated Wrenshall Tuesday afternoon in Floodwood for the second consecutive win this week.

The Floodwood baseball team traveled to Cook to take on North Woods on Monday, May 5th.  This was the first game played on North Wood’s new baseball field. 

 

Floodwood only recorded 4 hits in the game, but were helped by 7 North Woods walks.  Riley Bernsdorf hit his first homerun of the year, a solo shot in the top of the 6th inning.

The Floodwood Polar Bears opened up the home part of their schedule with a 4-1 win over Wrenshall on Tuesday.  Willow Christenson led off the game for Floodwood in the bottom of the first with a homerun. 

 

Tanner Heggedahl pitched 6 strong innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits.  Dylan Hendrickson pitched a perfect seventh to earn the save.
