Lady Rebels Rout Polar Bears

The Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels moved to 2-0 on the season Tuesday afternoon after the Lady Rebels 10 runned the Floodwood Polar Bears by a score of 14-4 in Willow River.

The Lady Rebels scored runs in each inning as they used timely hitting and good base running to build up a lead which Floodwood was unable to overcome.

The Rebels scored 3 runs in the first, 2 runs in the second, 5 runs in the third, 1 in the fourth and 2 runs in the bottom of the fifth to 10 run the Polar Bears and pick up the conference victory.

The Rebels pounded out 10 hits including three from Jodi Michalski, she also scored 2 runs and had a run batted in. Allie Bodie scored three runs in the victory and also was the winning pitcher.

Jessica Paul scored three times and it was Suzy Grutkowski, Morgan Prachar, and Nikki Grutkowski all getting hits and scoring two runs in the Rebels victory.

The Polar Bears Sydney Lough finished with two hits for the Polar Bears including a double and scoring one run. Breanna Salo and Honna Hendrickson had the other hits for Floodwood.

The Rebels move to 2-0 on the season and they will face Carlton on Thursday in Willow River. The Polar Bears start the season 0-1 and they will take on Barnum on Thursday afternoon in Floodwood.
