The Minnesota Wilderness season came to an end Saturday night in Wenatchee Washington as the Wilderness fell in overtime to the Wild of Wenatchee in a North American Hockey League Playoff Divisional Series.

Omar Mullen scored the lone goal of the contest at 18:41 of overtime to pick up the win and advance to face the Fairbanks Ice Dogs who defeated Kenai River also in overtime Saturday night by a score of 3-2.

The Wilderness who trailed in the series 2-0, came back from two games down to force a game 5 and it was a hard fought battle with both teams seeking that elusive goal and to advance into the next round of the playoffs.

It was the Wild’s Mullen scoring with 1:09 remaining in the first overtime, his second goal of the playoffs and assists went to River Rymsha and Troy Loggins, all coming off a shot from the Wilds Max Nuttle.

Kasimir Kaskisuo stopped 53 of the 54 shots he faced Saturday night, and the Wild’s Chase Perry picked up the shutout victory with 48 saves on the night. The Wilderness finishes the season with an overall record of 39-17-9.
