Kory Deadrick of Esko and Adam Laine of Cloquet were named to the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association All State Academic Team for the 2013-2014 season.

Marc Peterson of Esko was also named as a honorable mention on the All State Academic Team this year, Marc was also awarded the Minnesota State AAA award from section 7 at the boys state basketball tournament.

To be chosen for consideration the players must be nominated by their head coach who is a member of the state coaches association.

The candidate must be a senior who is a starter, and the player must carry a grade point average of 3.5 or better in each of his sophomore, junior, and first semester of his senior year.

The player shall not have any Minnesota State High School League eligibility penalties during his high school career to be eligible for this award.
