Cromwell Gets Past FDL

The Cromwell Cardinals and Fond du Lac Ogichida matched up in Esko on Friday evening. The game would see the Cromwell Cardinals come out on top by a score of 80-42 to advance to the next round of the Section 7A playoffs.

The Cardinals got out to the 45-19 lead at the half and never looked back as they would outscore the Ogichida 35-23 in the second half to secure the victory.

A balanced scoring attack would propel the Cardinals to victory as Bailey Gronner who score 17, Rachel Hutal added 16, Teana Hakamaki and Kelly Susa notched 14, and Allie Cahoon scored 12. Also in the win was Olivia Cahoon with 4 and Kiiera Anderson topping it off with 3.

In the loss for the Ogichida, Dez LaPointe would have a game high 25 points. Drewrez Budreau would follow with 7, Jasmine Budreau and Faryn Dupuis each tallied 4, and Quintana White topped it off with 2.

Fond du Lac ends their season with a 12-6 record. The Cardinals improve to 15-9 and will play the Floodwood Polar Bears (15-11) on March 8th at Romano Gym at UM-Duluth. The game will tipoff at 1:00 PM.
