FDL Comes Back To Top Huskies

The Fond du Lac Ogichida came from behind on Wednesday night to topple the Bigfork Huskies in the Section 7A semifinals, 83-74.

The Ogichida trailed the Huskies 38-29 at the half but stormed back to outscore the Huskies 54-36 in the second half to secure their spot in the Section 7A championship game.

The Ogichida were led by a balanced scoring attack from Davonte Williamson, Trevontae Brown, and Dexter Dellile. Williamson notched a team high 20 points, and both Brown and Dellile notched 19 in the victory. Bruce Martineau followed them with 10,Jordan Diver added 7 points of his own, Cameron Thompson pitched in 6, and Lester Williamson topped the night off with 2.

The Huskies end their season with a 21-6 record. The Ogichida improve to 23-3 and will look for their 10th straight victory in the Section 7A championship against a No. 2 seeded South Ridge Panthers (23-3) team that is on fire, winning 16 straight. The game will take place on March 7th at Duluth Denfeld with a 7:00 PM tipoff.
