Lions fall in Overtime

Bjorn Broman’s 44 points were not enough as the Lakeview Christian Academy Lions fell to the Deer River Warriors in overtime by a score of 83-77 Tuesday night in Deer River.

Despites Broman’s effort and having three Lions foul out of the contest the game into overtime saw the Warriors outscore the Lions by a 9-3 margin and pull out the six point win at home.

Following Broman and his 44 points, Josh Klun added 8, Sam Easty scored 7 points, Marc Chiu chipped in with 6, Ben Ericson had 5, Jack Norman finished with 4, and it was Josh Emerson ending with 3.

Deer River was led by Aaron Drotts, who finished with 25 points including 5 three-pointers, Kole Schultz added 23, Ben Eby and Cody Shevich both added 13 points in the victory.

The Lions fall to 5-17 on the season and they will look to end their five game losing streak Thursday night when they will face the Agates at Two Harbors High School.

Deer River improves to 4-18 and they will face Bigfork on Friday night at Bigfork High School.
